During the week of April 14th - April 17th our school will be holding Spirit Week.  This week is designated to further promote school spirit and pride as well as to recognize our awesome students and their hard work.  We have several activities planned for the week which are sure to provide great fun and promote team work for both students and staff.

During our Spirit Week there will be 3 days designated as dress up days.  On these days, students are invited to dress according to a particular theme.  Themed (dress up) days will be held on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday of Spirit Week.

Monday:  The always popular Crazy Hat/Crazy Hair Day

Tuesday: At scheduled times throughout the day students will be participating in interactive (life-sized) games provided by the City of St. John’s.

Students are encouraged to wear comfy clothing on this day.

Mr. Larry Daley will be providing a very special presentation to students in Grades 3-6.  The presentation will focus specifically on the 100th Year Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic!

Wednesday:  Students pick a decade and wear fitness attire from that particular decade.

*For example a signature look from the 1980’s was colored (and layered) slouch socks, leg warmers and bright headbands.

This theme will fit in well with our movement activities that will occur in classrooms throughout the school day.

All grades will be participating in ArtsSmarts at specific times throughout this day as well as other days during the week.

ThursdayFavorite Movie Actor or Hero Day

Both Primary and Elementary students are in for a special movie treat.  Students are invited to dress as a favorite movie actor or hero.

All students will also have the opportunity to participate in a Zumba fitness class.

We are asking each parent to forward $2.00 to their child’s classroom teacher in order to assist with the cost of our Zumba classes.

What a great way for students to kick off their Easter holidays.  We are looking forward to our students and staff enjoying a wonderful Spirit Week!
