Save the Date Friday, June 6th!!!

Plans are under way for a fundraiser for St. Mary’s Elementary!  Please save the date of Friday, June 6th for a great night out and a chance to contribute to our wonderful school.

 St. Mary’s Elementary Dinner and Auction is held every two years as our main fundraiser.  This removes the need for multiple smaller fundraisers throughout the year, such as hop-a-thons, fish cake sales, raffle ticket sales, vegetable hampers, chocolate bar sales, additional school fairs, etc. 

 These fundraisers help to pay for ongoing expenses which are directly related to our School Development Plan which includes Arts Smarts, technology development, and School Council supported events.  They have also enabled us to purchase smart boards, iPads and make significant library improvements.  

 This year, we are hoping to raise enough funds to support our ongoing expenses and to contribute to the improvement of our school grounds. 

 There are some exciting plans under way for our outdoor space—stay tuned to see them!

 In order to make this event a success, we need the support of all families.

 There are lots of ways you can help!

 Be Creative!

 Some of the most popular items auctioned are things that involve using your own talents or resources.

  • A trip to the dump with your pick up or trailer
  • A cake decorating course
  • A dinner in your home for a group 
  • Baked goods
  • Babysitting services
  • The use of your summer cabin for a weekend
  • Music lessons

 Solicit donations of goods and services for the raffles and auctions.

Businesses you work for, own or patronize can donate items or certificates for services they offer. A letter of request for donations is attached.  More are available from the school office.

Volunteer your time.

Set up tables and chairs, help with decorating, sell raffle tickets, tend bar, make a dessert to auction.  Even giving two hours of your time in some way can be an enormous help!

Please think about how you can help to make this event a success.
